That means no names, headshots, phone numbers, email addresses, logos, websites, watermarks or "call me" end screens. Unbranded videos exist because most MLSs don't allow advertising inside listing media.
The MLS is a shared database for cooperating brokers, and many have a dedicated "unbranded virtual tour" field for exactly this purpose. Branded versions are usually allowed only in separate fields, if at all.
What an unbranded video can include
- The property's photos or footage.
- Room labels, the street address and factual features, where your MLS permits them.
- Music, as long as it's licensed.
- Clearly labeled virtual staging or edits.
What to remove
- Intro or outro slides with agent or brokerage details.
- Lower-third graphics with contact info.
- Spoken calls to action in the narration.
- Watermarks from the video tool or production company.
- Social handles, QR codes and links.
The practical approach is to create the unbranded version first and add branding afterward for social media, email and your website. That way you never have to strip branding out of a finished video.
